Iglis Virious's Luathas Mass - 9/16/2019
The
following is a direct transcription of each Aisling's words as they
were said during the mass. The only edits made are the removal of
dialogue not important to the sermon.
Iglis:
Hello one and all, and thank you for attending this mass worship to our Lord, Luathas. I am Iglis Viriou, and it pleases me greatly each time I see faces in this temple, new and old alike. As is the status quo, I will share things I have learned since the last mass worship, and anyone who wishes to do so afterward, may. Once we are finished, I will round it off with a prayer to our Lord. However, since Kedian is in attendance and I know how much he enjoys theology, I feel it is only fitting to not only pray to Luathas, but also his allies of the Octagram, Cail and Gramail.
Kedian:
*smiles*
Iglis:
It may be a bit difficult to try and work them all into a single prayer *laughs* But I will try, and failing that, I will lead us in seperate prayers to all three. So! Let us not waste any more time! Since the last mass worship, I have tried my hardest to uphold the themes we discussed there, regarding the value and potential gain of knowledge from nuturing friendships. I have done my best to go out of my way to be friendlier than normal to those around me, or those who I came into contact with, and have noticed a great increase of my quality of life since. However, that's not to say I only experienced a greater sense of happiness. I've also learned... or more appropriately, remembered, the value in burning and rebuilding a bridge of sturdier material, pardon the metaphor. That is to say, starting a a friendship with someone from the beginning for the sake of maintaining that link you two have. ((Also, on a more OOC note, I have recently started learning how to play DND 5e, and it's been a lot of fun exploring the lore and gameplay of it!)) And lastly, but most importantly, I've learned just how important and short life can be. A traumatic experience happened to someone close to me, and had it even been a small margin worse, they may not be in my life anymore. I am extremely grateful, not only that they are still breathing, but also that I have truly been taught the value in the time we have here. Time is a valuable resource. I encourage you greatly to do what you can to not only enrich your own life with learning, but helping those around you learn as well. I have nothing more to share, so if anyone wishes to, they may speak their mind next.
Kedian:
Hm...I was thinking about the Luathan trinity earlier. I may have something useful to share, though I can't make any guarantees.
Iglis:
Ah, humble as always I see. *grins*

Kedian:
*laughs* Well. Luathas as you know is allied with Cail and Gramail. We may have a hard time understanding this. They seem rather different. But: in truth they flow into and out of Luathas, like a stream feeding a river. If we are lucky enough to find Cail's balance, to quiet our minds and reckless thoughts; if we can be one with ourselves in that perfect present moment - we can create a space for gnosis to find us. And with that gnosis, we are set onto a new path. If we endure, we can encapsulate this knowledge into a new wisdom - the provenance of Gramail - and it can become part of our collective knowledge and society. Knolwledge is not possible without opening our quieted minds; and only knowlege sets us on a path towars wisdom. We must be ready to recieve that divine a-ha moment, to make any real progress on the problems of our lives, and Gramail teaches us: we had damn well better write it down and tell others. *falls silent*
Iglis:
*smiles* Thank Kedian, your input is greatly appreciated as always.
Muraudor:
That was wonderful, thank you
Iglis:
Does anyone have anything else they wish to share? Or discuss even?
Muraudor:
Iglis, that was a very profound and insightful message you shared. I hope there are many here that will take it to heart.
Iglis:
*smiles softly* Thank you Muraudor. It means quite a bit to hear that.
Muraudor:
I am an old spark that has been away traveling for quite some time. On my return I have found that Temuair and Medenia alike have changed so much. If it had not been for my new friends of the Fire Nation and all of their assistance, I may not have been long for this world. It's a perilous land. Speaking of old Sparks, Kedian, I cannot help but read of your legend. You must have some wonderful stories to tell of the days past.
Kedian:
Oh, you know. *laughs*
Iglis:
*smiles* Well, if that is all anyone has to share, let us move on to the prayers.
Iglis:

Iglis:
Iglis:
In respect to the analogy Kedian shared earlier, let us start with a prayer to Cail, followed by our Lord Luathas, and ending with a prayer to Gramail. *bows head*
May the sun bring you new energy by day
May the moon softly restore you by night
May the rain wash away your worries
May the moon softly restore you by night
May the rain wash away your worries
May the breeze blow away negativity
And may you walk gently through life and know its beauty all the days of your life.
And may you walk gently through life and know its beauty all the days of your life.
Iglis:
Now, to Luathas.
May my heart be gentle, my mind still and open,
My spirit unshackled, my awareness keen,
My conscience clear, my nature giving.
May I be a healing energy,
May I be of benefit to all,
May my life enrich others,
May I know what matters, and live in harmony with Nature.
Iglis:
Hmm... reading over it again... It seems it may be a prayer to *both* Luathas and Cail. *laughs*
Kedian:
*grins*
Iglis:
Anywho, let us finish with a prayer to Gramail.
Iglis:
*raises head* I wish to thank you all for attending once again. In a short moment, mass will be cast. Once cast, step forward or blink to receive your blessing.
*grins*
Iglis:
Anywho, let us finish with a prayer to Gramail.
Bide the Temuairan Law ye must, in perfect love and perfect trust.
Eight words the Temuairan Rede fulfill:
An' ye ham none, do what ye will.
What ye send forth comes back to thee, so ever mind the law of three.
Follow this with mind and heart, merry ye meet and merry ye part.
Iglis:
*raises head* I wish to thank you all for attending once again. In a short moment, mass will be cast. Once cast, step forward or blink to receive your blessing.
