Luathas Mass 09/22/2025 - Exploring Curiosities; On Eingren Manor and Beal na Carraige

The following is the direct script I wrote for this sermon.

Greetings everyone and welcome to Bael na Carriage.
My name is Iglis Viriou, and I am the Priest leading
todays mass worship of Luathas. This location may
seem... strange... at first glance, but give me a
moment of your time and it will become clear why I've
chosen this area for us to gather. To begin, I would
like to say that I have been wandering the eerie halls
of Eingren Manor recently, looking into the rumors of
ghosts and otherworldly horrors. I have been
documenting my findings and creating memories ((taking
screenshots)) so that I may publish all I find as a
college entry. The reason I bring this up is simply
because it quite literally is a pursuit of knowledge,
which is Luathas's domain. Eingren Manor has been a
largely undocumented area. Most people view it as a
largely tedious area and questline, and thus cannot be
bothered to even venture into the halls themselves. It
doesn't help that the manor is kept very far away from
civilization. To get there, you must traverse the fog
cloaking the river behind the restaurant and tavern.
The farmhand there can tell you of the tale of Shila
and the Manor. If you dig around in his field, you may
find the first of eight diary pages that tell you of
the tale from Shila's perspective. You may venture
further north into the Filth Forest. This area is
polluted and rotting, in a similar way to House
Macabre... at first... But once you venture further
beyond the dead trees, you will find pools of green
eerie liquid filling craterous indents in the ground,
as well as empty rotting houses. One house is actually
able to be entered as it is unlocked, and it will grant
you access to the latter half of the Filth Forest. You
may venture even further from here and find an
abandoned church with a long deranged worshipper of
Deoch named Dreval. The manor and the evil that
radiates from within has driven him mad, but giving him
a Wooden Shield blessed by his dear deity will calm him
and he will explain a bit more, as well as giving you
the key to the manor. From there, the manor itself is
at the end of the Filth Forest, and is a labyrinth of
trial and error through and through. I'll leave the
tale of Eingren at that, and encourage you all to
explore Eingren, even if you do not complete the full
quest within. Now... Why are we here, if I wanted to
talk to you all about something hidden behind Tagor?
Well, Beal na Carraige is in a similar predicament.
Originating as parts of Shinewood Forest that have been
ravaged and deprived of nutrients and resources, Beal
na Carraige became a desert lost to time. For many
Deoches, Beal na Carraige was unheard of. However, when
my initial spark woke within me in a past life ((my
first character)), roughly in Deoch 80, Beal na
Carraige had been discovered. However, most people
didn't know of how Beal na Carraige truely works. Not
just the forest, but the pyramid behind us. The
mundanes at the Excavation Camp will give you tasks to
help them understand the area... but they aren't making
much headway. Now, the beasts of Deadwood Forest as
well as the area itself is pretty understood. There
isn't much that needs to be explored there. The pyramid
though? This is a source of immense frustration. It is
easy to get lost inside. ((The tab map doesn't work,
and the rooms you get sent to are random.)) This makes
it incredibly easy to get seperated from your fellow
Aislings. Once inside, in the third leg of Shorty's
Exploration quests, there is even different creatures
that will emerge in different rooms. Unlike the rooms
in the first leg of the quest only spawning Dust
Storms, and rooms in the second leg of the quest adding
Great Ialtags, the rooms in the third leg of the quest
will randomly spawn *either* Great Ialtags, *or* the
Giant creatures. The confusion is increased when, if
you are level 99 or higher, the Giant creatures spawn
in the first area with the Dust Storms. *shakes head*
It's... All so confusing. It's been a puzzle in my mind
for far longer than Eingren that I have yet to explore,
and so I want to encourage you all to investigate any
areas or subjects you may find interesting regardless
of what others think of the subject. Even if the
pursuit is something that ends quickly, let the
curiosity guide you and keep your minds open wide.
Thank you all for joining me. I will now begin to read
the tomes required to cast the Mass Worship of Luathas,
and guide us all in prayer.
